Sidercem S.r.l. has been a leader in the quality certification of building materials for over thirty years and today it can considered a privileged partner for those involved in the production process: Freelancers, Companies, Local Authorities, Public Administrations and Control Bodies, representing a valid support, inside the laboratory and outside in the field, for the design of restoration and consolidation interventions, the analysis of degradation phenomena, the verification of the remaining performance conditions of the artefacts, the monitoring of large art pieces, the planning and execution of geognostic, geotechnical, geophysical, diagnostic and structural investigations in the field of civil, industrial and monumental construction.
These activities are carried out in the two offices located in Caltanissetta and in Misterbianco in a 4000 m2 laboratory.
We have achieved prestigious accreditations for the two locations:
- Concession by the Ministry of Infrastructures tests pursuant to art. 1086/71 – Circ. STC 08/09/2010 n. 7617
- Concession by the Ministry of Infrastructures – Circ. STC 08/09/2010 n. 7618
- Recognized by the Ministry of Education, of University and Research as a Research Laboratory
- Recognition granted by the Ministry of Health for asbestos research: DRX, SEM and MOCF
- SOA certification for the category OS 20 b IV

The contents of the most recent Community Directives regarding quality have always been the heritage of Sidercem which has invested in staff training, rationalisation of resources and technological innovation over the years.
Among the most significant activities it can be included the inspection and surveillance of bridges, viaducts and tunnels. These require planning of the piece of work and, if necessary, the diagnosis of degradation phenomena and the control of the remaining performance capacity of the artefacts through bespoke experimental activities.
The services were requested and subsequently performed on behalf of PP.AA. owners or distributors of the road network, motorway and railway network such as the Provincial Administration of Agrigento, Caltanissetta, Catania, Trapani, Vercelli, Cagliari, Genoa; management consortium of the road heritage such as C.A.S. and ANAS and the railway network R.F.I..
